Joleen Little

BVSc MRCVS - Bachelors in Veterinary Science, The University of Liverpool, 2002

Career Summary:

Started out 18 years ago as a mixed animal vet in a large and very busy practice in Northern Ireland. Worked here for 18 months before spending one year working as a locum in Australia in three states. I continued my career back in Northern Ireland and spent 10 years in a small animal practice in Belfast where I worked along side new graduates and older more experienced vets. I was the nominated clinical coach for the student nurses. After a few maternity leaves and spinal surgery I worked at Vets4Pets for 5 years. I was one of the senior vets and managed the team during many sole charge shifts. Mentoring and supporting the younger vets was something I really enjoyed, building their confidence and watching them develop into fantastic clinicians. Last year I decided it was time to try something different but relevant so became a veterinary recruitment consultant. I have not looked back since.
